Radical owner, Radical Racer and Rally Legend Colin McRae was tragically killed along with his son in a helicopter crash on Saturday

Radical Sales Director, Nick Dove was regularly in touch with Colin regarding his participation in forthcoming Radical races.  His last contact was only last week.

Radical co-founder Mick Hyde summed up the situation, “we are all dumb-struck by this accident and all at Radical send their deepest condolences to his wife and family.  It was not long ago that I picked Colin up from a local airport.  He came to the factory to spec out his new Radical.

He was as quiet, calm and thoughtful in real life as he appeared in the media.

I raced a few time against Colin and his father in TVR Tuscans twenty years ago.  My son flies helicopters in the Army.  It makes you stop and think how fragile life is.
