BARC's new company vehicle?
BARC's new pace vehicle?
The BARC have announced that Radical Sportscars is to be fined $100,000,000 for making their cars go too fast.  At a hearing held at the “Silly Cow” near Thruxton, Dale Wells imposed the draconian fine.  Dale pronounced that every year he has seen an improvement in Radicals design, construction and speed and he was appalled at Radical’s rate of expansion around the world.  In imposing the fine he hopes to slow the pace of development down.

Radical co-founder, Mick Hyde responded, “The important thing is that we will be racing this weekend at Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit and our plans to expand our European racing programme will not be affected.  Announcements regarding a new FIA- sanctioned European Masters Series will still be made in two weeks.  The $100,000,000 fine will dent our SR5 development plans and we have decided not to attend the Ledenon round of the V de V Series, but we will make up for this by entering a four-car 'works' team for the 12 hours of Magny Cours.”

Mick was also concerned that Dale Wells, Ian Watson and BARC head, Dennis Carter had been  seen at the Lear Jet factory in Ireland, placing an order for new company transport.
