SR9 Update – 23rd September 2005 Looking like a cross between a boat and a boardroom table, the pattern for the SR9’s rear diffuser was delivered to the mould makers early last week. The rear diffuser shape is, in part dictated by the new 2006 ACO rules, which are designed to bring the downforce created by the diffuser further forward towards the centre of the car. The new diffuser, along with new rear wing and floor regulations, combine to prevent new prototype cars from doing backward somersaults. Front bodywork and side pod patterns are also well underway… watch this space!
