Sebring Winterfest Record Smashed
Radical Technical Support Manager and hot-shot driver, Rob Wheldon smashed the Sebring Winterfest lap record by 2½ seconds during an epic race in which he had to drive through the field from the back of the grid.  Rob drove Radical East boss, Larry Huang’s 2.6 Radical SR8.

Over eighty cars took to the grid, with seventeen of them being Radicals.  Rob was understandably proud, “As Larry had driven the SR8 in the previous two races, they started me from the back of the grid.  The first few laps were a bit exciting but I soon got into a rhythm and picked my way to the front by the sixth lap and then cruised to the finish.  It was really good fun and I would like to thank Larry for giving me the opportunity to show what the car can do!

Rob tested the new SR8 Supersport LM prior to leaving for Florida and is confident that a 1:55 is on the cards, reducing the current record by a further four seconds!
