Peterborough, Cambridgeshire (UK) – 01 October 2021: Radical Sportscars has today announced two new appointments to its board of directors, who are set to underpin a future growth strategy that will maintain the momentum created in 2021, Radical’s most successful year to date.

Kevin Gaskell has been appointed Non-Executive Director in a move that will see him contribute his extensive management and entrepreneurial skills to the largest two-seat racing car manufacturer in the world. Gaskell is a seasoned entrepreneur and CEO, with a track record that has seen him build over £3 billion in shareholder value during his extensive career. A Structural Engineer by training, Gaskell transferred to management accountancy, and soon found a home in the UK automotive sector.

Gaskell served as Managing Director of Porsche Cars Great Britain, before transferring to BMW Great Britain as Group CEO. Gaskell has held senior executive roles in automotive related companies including epyx, EurotaxGlass’s and Motoriety. He currently enjoys an active interest in several other businesses including The Data Support Agency, the Health and ITS Technology Group, Safety Dialogue Company and Smarter Britain. Outside of the Boardroom, Gaskell is a world record holding trans-Atlantic rower, public speaker and author.

Radical Sportscars has also promoted Dan Redpath to Group Sales and Marketing Director, and is the latest addition to its board, where he joins Joe Anwyll (CEO), and Hitesh Katechia (Chairman of the Board and CFO) and Jan Osterloh.

Redpath joined the company in January 2020 from Aston Martin, where he held a number of senior commercial posts.  Since joining Radical as Global Sales Director, he has spearheaded the company's expansion, appointing 12 new dealers and successfully launching the new SR3 XX and SR10 models, the latter being the fastest-selling model in Radical’s history. The brand is now represented by 31 dealers in 21 countries, making it the most successful race car dealer network in the world.  Redpath’s appointment as Group Sales and Marketing Director marks a critical juncture, allowing greater synergy between the two teams.

Speaking at Radical Sportscars’ Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, headquarters and factory, Kevin Gaskell, Non-Executive Director said: “This is an exciting appointment for me, and I’m thrilled to be joining the board at such an exciting time in Radical’s history. The staff at Radical are some of the most experienced and passionate motorsport specialists I’ve ever met, and Radical is currently enjoying extremely strong demand for its new SR3 XX and the turbocharged SR10, which is the fastest-selling model in Radical’s history.

“To be invited to work with Dan, Hitesh, Jan and Joe on guiding the company as it builds on this success, and help shape its future over the coming decade, is a privilege.”

Dan Redpath, Group Sales and Marketing Director echoed this, adding: “One of Radical's most valuable assets is its agility, allowing the company to move quickly and respond to rapidly changing market conditions. The new SR10 is testament to this, having been developed and launched during last year’s Covid-19 lockdowns, and SR10 really put us in a great position with a very strong orderbook as the world opened up again.

“We have experienced unprecedented demand for our hand-built products since last year, and that would not have been possible without the support of our employees, our 31-strong dealer network and not least our incredibly loyal customer base.  The Radical team is really looking forward to some exciting developments in the short to medium. And to be a part of steering the future from a board perspective makes it even more thrilling for me.”

Joe Anwyll, Radical Sportscars’ CEO, said: “I am delighted to welcome Kevin Gaskell and Dan Redpath to the Radical board. These appointments recognise how the business is maturing and that it is ready to take the next step in its ambitious growth plans.”

Radical Sportscars is enjoying its most successful year to date and has just built the 50th Radical SR10 since build started in late 2020, making it the fastest-selling model in the company’s history. The company is looking forward to its 25th anniversary year in 2022.
